Photos tell the truth faster than any claim we could make. A gate that dragged on its track, a motor that hummed without moving, an opener that stopped responding to the remote: the difference between the before and the after is why Fort Worth homeowners call us. Here’s a look at real jobs we’ve completed, framed the way we saw them when we pulled up to the house.

Recent Transformations
Swing Gate Post Shift on a Sloped Driveway in Benbrook
This gate had been set in concrete that settled over years of North Texas clay expanding and contracting. The post held, but the hinge geometry was off enough that the leaf dragged. We pulled the gate, reset the post with fresh concrete and dry time, rehung the leaf, and tuned the swing operator’s limit switch so it stops in the right place every cycle. The homeowner told us it hadn’t opened without a shove in two years. Now it closes with one finger on the remote.
Ghost Controls Slide Motor Swap in Crowley
A power surge after a summer storm cooked the control board on this Ghost Controls unit. The gearbox was still good, so we didn’t sell a full replacement, just the board and a new battery backup. The owner had priced a new gate online at $4,000 plus labor. Our fix came in under $700, written price before we touched a wire, and the gate has cycled every day since.
Articulating Arm Replacement on a Wrought Iron Drive Gate in Keller
A straight-line wind caught this wide drive gate while it was opening, folding the articulating arm at the elbow joint. The motor still ran fine, but the gate opened only about two-thirds of the way, which meant trash pickup couldn’t get through. We replaced the arm, re-bushed the pivot points, and adjusted the leaf stops. That’s a $300 parts-and-labor job versus a $2,500 operator replacement most companies would have quoted just by looking at the picture.
Loop Detector Failure on a Commercial Entrance off I-35W
This was a loop detector wired into a Viking operator that had been installed a decade ago. The loop in the asphalt had cracked and lost continuity, so the detector read “no vehicle” even with an F-250 parked on top of it. We cut a new loop, sealed it, and set the sensitivity threshold for a full-size truck. The business had employees propping the gate open with a traffic cone before we arrived, which defeats the entire purpose of a controlled entrance. Now the gate opens on detection and swings shut on the timer.
Elite Slide Gate Off Its Track in Burleson
The rear trolley wheel on this Elite slide gate had worn a flat spot, and the gate finally jumped the rail when the owner backed a trailer through the opening. Metal dust was packed into the track channel, which made the wheel bind even after we lifted it back. We pulled the gate, cleaned the rail, replaced both trolley wheels, and reset the end stops on the opener. A slide gate that grinds every time it moves is usually a five-minute fix if you catch the wheel wear early. This one waited too long and cost twice as much, but the gate now runs quieter than it has in years.
LiftMaster Keypad and Safety Edge Package in Waterview
The homeowner had three remotes that worked fine, but the keypad by the walk gate had died, so delivery drivers had no way in without a call. The safety edge along the bottom of the gate was original to the installation and crumbled when we touched it. We installed a new LiftMaster keypad with one-button close, replaced the edge, and set the reversal sensitivity to stop on contact before it ever puts pressure on a child or pet. That edge is a code requirement, not an upsell, and the old one wasn’t protecting anyone.
